Air Conditioning

Split Systems

The most versatile single-room heating and cooling solution.

A split system air conditioner consists of two main components: an indoor wall-mounted unit (the evaporator) and an outdoor unit (the condenser/compressor). The two are connected by insulated copper refrigerant pipes, a condensate drain line, and a power/communications cable — typically run through a small core hole in the wall.

The indoor unit draws warm room air across a refrigerant-cooled evaporator coil, which absorbs the heat before quietly recirculating the cooled air. The outdoor unit expels the absorbed heat to the atmosphere via a condenser coil and fan. In reverse cycle models, this process runs in reverse for heating during winter.

Modern inverter split systems are highly energy-efficient, adjusting compressor speed to maintain the desired temperature with minimal on/off cycling. They are the go-to choice for individual rooms, apartments, and targeted zone cooling in larger homes.

Applications

Common Installations

Bedrooms & Living Areas

The most common residential application — quiet, efficient, and easy to control independently per room.

Apartments

Ideal for apartments without ducted infrastructure. Outdoor unit can often be mounted on a balcony or external wall bracket.

Home Offices & Studies

Targeted cooling/heating without conditioning the entire house.

Heritage & Terrace Houses

Minimal structural work required — suits heritage buildings where ducted systems are impractical.

Retail & Small Commercial

Cost-effective for small shops, studios, and showrooms requiring independent climate control.

Server Rooms

Maintains consistent temperatures critical for IT equipment.
